And its pretty nuts too. Independent front and rear plus offset motor. Wonder what’s it like to drive.

I watched that the other day and really enjoyed his podium speech. “Would you like to thank you sponsors?” “Ummmmm, yea, Me..... oh and my wife.” Now that’s a true racer and a keeper.

The IFS rock buggies have come so far in the last 3-4 years, its incredible.

That is brutal.

I find it really interesting that independent suspensions are becoming more and more popular for buggies. I watched the King of Hammers on TV a week ago or so, and was very impressed with the capability of those systems.

That being said, this is a ridiculous vehicle. I would love to watch it tackle all sorts of terrain. I also have to wonder how much power its pushing, thanks to that blower.

Two things

1: Coolant running thru the cage!!

2. And this goes against standard HERP DERP, but I can’t figure out why solid axles would be preferred beyond durability (in the name of simplicity). It seems like independent suspension would be more capable on any terrain, as long as you build it strong enough. Although I do understand the cost difference, many vehicles that have spent that level of money have still gone with herp derp “SLA for life”!!! I just don’t get it.

Main reason is articulation.

You can get way more articulation with a solid axle compared to independent
